The east entrance to Zion National Park is a short and scenic 30 minutes from Kanab and another 15 to the visitor center. Let the adventure begin! In our informal poll of guests, Zion ranks tops of most lists and is also our favorite park in the area.
Whether your want to enjoy the park from you car or the shuttle, spend 2 hours or multiple days, Zion offers visitors of all physical levels and interests multiple opportunities.
Bryce - Day of HooDoos! Night of ZZZZZ's
Out of our door and north on the scenic US89, Bryce Canyon is an hour and 15 minute drive. Along the way you will see multiple rock shops, lush canyons and ranch settings until the turn off toward Bryce which then takes you through the beautiful Red Canyon State Park. We recommend a stop to marvel in the beauty of Red Canyon and take a short walk to stretch your legs and breath in the mountain air.
If you appreciate art, a stop at the Maynard Dixon Art Gallery would be the perfect complement to another amazing day.
Grand Canyon - Day of AWE!! Night of AWESOME!
The 'BIG DADDY' of them all! Traveling south on US89 from Kanab through Fredonia, the drive to the North Rim provides wonderful changes in terrain. If you have been to the South Rim, you will immediately appreciate the unmistakable beauty and presence provide at the North Rim as it is considered the most beautiful side of the Grand Canyon.
We suggest grabbing a to-go lunch from the Canyon Bistro & Deli in Kanab or having lunch at the North Rim Historic Lodge (although reservations must be booked in advance at 928-638-2611). The north rim is open May 15 - October 15th.

We're sure you've read about it and heard about it and whether you are an animal enthusiasts or not, a tour to Best Friends Animal Sanctuary is a 'must' do when visiting our area.
Made famous by their National Geographic Television series "DogTown", the sanctuary is 5 minutes north of Kanab and provides multiple tours (8:30am, 10am, 1pm, & 2:30pm) each day of their over 3700 scenic acres.
Just 20 minutes north of Kanab, Coral Pink Sand Dunes is filled with sweeping hills of beautiful pink sand. Beautiful desert flowers and fauna surround this area and the dunes are fun get your shoes and shorts filled with while rolling down the hills.
